Mixing colors for fieldgrey german uniforms

The fieldgrey uniforms comes in a huge variety of shades.
In my search for good color mixes, I came across the great paint set from Vallejo called "German Field Grey". The set contains 8 bottles with all the colors you need.
The set also comes with a small tutorial for how to paint

The suggested mixing ratios are listed here.

The basic prinsiple is:

  1. Paint the figure with the base color
  2. Paint 1. highlight. Mix 10% highlight color with 90% base color
  3. Paint 2. highlight. Mix 30% highlight color with 70% base color
  4. Paint 3. highlight. Mix 50% highlight color with 50% base color
  5. Paint 1. shaddow. Mix 25% shaddow color with 75% base color
  6. Paint 2. shaddow. Mix 50% shaddow color with 50% base color
  7. Paint 3. shaddow. Mix 75% shaddow color with 25% base color
  8. Review the whole figure and thin the mixes. Fix all transitions that is to visible.
Jacket variant 1 (greenish color)
Base color: 830 Fieldgrey
Highlight color: 845 Sunny skin tone
Shaddow color: 950 Black

Trousers variant 1 (blueish color)
Base color: 868 Dark sea green
Highlight color: 905 Bluegrey pale
Shaddow color: 950 Black

Jacket variant 2 (blue/grey color)
Base color: 897 Bronze green
Highlight color: 905 Bluegrey pale
Shaddow color: 950 Black

Trousers variant 2 (greenish color)
Base color: 892 Yellow olive
Highlight color: 885 Pastel Green
